Flu Vaccines Arriving Soon

Flu season is approaching, and the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones is through annual vaccination. At Complete Care Doctors, we expect our flu vaccines to arrive soon, so now is the perfect time to plan your vaccination.

Who Should Get the Flu Vaccine?

​

Flu vaccination is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and older. It is especially important for those at higher risk of complications from the flu, including:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months and over

  • Children aged 6 months to under 5 years

  • Pregnant women at any stage of pregnancy

  • Adults aged 65 years and older

  • People aged 6 months and over with medical conditions that increase the risk of severe flu, such as:

    • Cardiac disease

    • Chronic respiratory conditions

    • Immunocompromising conditions

    • Haematological disorders

    • Chronic metabolic disorders

    • Chronic kidney disease

    • Chronic neurological conditions

    • Long-term aspirin therapy in children aged 5 to 10 years

Free Flu Vaccines Under the National Immunisation Program (NIP)

If you fall into one of the higher-risk categories listed above, you may be eligible for a free flu vaccine under the National Immunisation Program (NIP). Speak to one of our doctors to check your eligibility.

For those not eligible for a free vaccine, the flu vaccine will be available privately at Complete Care Doctors.

  • Book online via our website

  • Call our friendly team to schedule your appointment.
